Khemararangsi Buddhist Temple of the ACT Inc. is a not-for-profit Khmer Association in Canberra that respects differences of race, gender, culture and religious faith. Its main objective is to preserve the rich Cambodian culture and traditions while fostering good relationships within the ACT Community through Buddhist principles to enhance peace and quality of life in Australia.
The Temple, located at 1 Ross Smith Crescent Scullin ACT 2617, has resident Buddhist monks who welcome visitors seeking counseling or interested in learning about Buddhism, Buddhist practice, and Cambodian culture.
Meditation is Key
A key belief in all Buddhist groups is the importance of meditation. Without calming our mind, and examining our mind’s nature and its beliefs, we can never reach enlightenment. Doing this sitting down is called meditation, and doing this while we undertake everyday activities is called mindfulness.

" Everything is based on mind, is led by mind, is fashioned by mind. If you speak and act with a polluted mind, suffering will follow you, as the wheels of the oxcart follow the footsteps of the ox "
